Dear Parents,
The students and I researched crafts and directions today and decided on several they would enjoy making. I tried to keep budgeting in mind and choose crafts that used the same items. We also discussed ways to substitute items that seemed unnecessary. Below is a list of things we will need next week. Since most of the items can be used for 2 or more activities there should not be an issue with redundancy. Your help with these items will be greatly appreciated.
Card stock-Green, brown and white
White cotton
Glitter-white or iridescent
Popsicle sticks
Wooden craft spoons (these look like wooden ice cream spoons)
16 to 20 gauge wire
Pony beads (regular sized beads that can fit the wire)
Seed beads (tiny beads)
Sequins
Small Buttons
Pipe cleaner (green, brown and misc. colors)
Ribbon
Clear fishing type line to hang the ornaments
Miniature trees and animals (the very small ones that can accent Christmas villages)
Glass ornament (each child will need only one: they can bring it from home or buy a new one)
Clear contact paper
Craft scissors
Hot glue gun (we can just borrow one if you could spare one along with glue sticks)
After discussing it with Mrs. Okey, we decided to make these ornaments both Tuesday and Wednesday of next week in order to ensure everyone has a chance to make all the ornaments and to prevent too many people at each station. We would love to have your help either day (or both)! Please let me know if you would like to help out...it's sure to be tons of fun for all!
Please contact me or Mrs. Okey if you have questions or need clarification.

Thank you for all your support! I can't wait to see how neat and creative the projects will be!
